Pine Ridge is a Surrey Community School and Nursery Class. It is a co-educational day school for children aged 4-7 years and has a Nursery Class for children 2 – 4 years old.
The School was opened in 1972 and consists of an Early Years area and two other teaching areas. We have a wonderful Early Years outside area which children can access directly from their classrooms and a large playground, trim trail and field area which the older children use. The main hall is equipped with large P.E. apparatus and a servery from which the school lunches cooked in our kitchen are served. We have a separate library where the children can develop their reading and library skills and a small room used for targeted group work.
We are fortunate to have a Surrey Nursery Unit attached to the school for children 2 - 4 years old. It is one of the few local authority nurseries in the area and is very well equipped for both indoor and outdoor activities. It is staffed by a qualified Nursery Teacher and qualified nursery assistants.
Parents / carers can choose their sessions flexibility over the week, subject to availability. These can either be their 15 funded hours, or, for children not yet funded, the sessions they pay for
Parents / carers will be able to purchase up to 10 additional sessions per week, on a termly planned basis. These additional sessions will cost £16. Two year olds who are not eligible for FEET funding will be charged £15 for their 3 hour sessions, but if they wish to stay all day the afternoon session will cost £16.
If you wish to apply for a place for your child in our Nursery class please complete the nursery application form. Click here for the Nursery class application form.
Parents who may be considering sending their child to Pine Ridge Infant School are invited to contact us to make an appointment to visit the school when we shall be happy to show you round and answer any questions you may have.
Pine Ridge maintains a close relationship with the local Junior Schools, Cordwalles, Connaught, Hammond, The Watchetts, Ravenscote and Crawley Ridge, which makes for an easy move from Infant to Junior School. Members of staff from the local Junior Schools liaise with Pine Ridge staff regularly throughout the school year. The Junior School teachers visit Pine Ridge in the Summer Term. They meet the children who will be joining them from Year 2 and also talk to the Class Teacher.
